This laser targets the skin melanin without damaging the surrounding skin. It is used for epidermal and dermal pigmentation. It is used to treat a variety of pigmented lesions like lentigeneS, freekles, navus of Ota,post inflammatory pigmentation, perioral pigmentation, melasma, photomelanosis, lichen planus pigmentosus and benign melanocytic lesions.

This is a versatile laser which with different settings can be used for tattoo removal. The lasers will fragment the tattoo pigment which will be gradually absorbed by the body, leading to fading of the tattoo.

It is also effectively used in treating nail fungus. The melanin in the fungal wall absorbs the laser bean and there is break down and destruction of the fungus.
